DNC asking people to write form letters

I get crazy letters from the DNC and the Obama team occasionally asking me to trounce and denounce the Republican policies through a letter which they are happy to "help" me with.

Below you find the contents of their talking points. Note the specific request to not use the points verbatim.

You decide if this is the kind of politics you want. Remember... the DNC supports Ben Nelson.

Note: These points are only to provide extra information and suggestions. Do not use these points verbatim. Your letter must be original and should focus on your personal views and experiences.

—Last Thursday, when a discussion at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock turned to President Obama’s plan to let Bush tax cuts expire for families making more than $250,000, RNC Chairman Michael Steele said that “a million dollars is not a lot of money.”

—But a million is a lot of money to average Americans. The average family in America earns $52,000 per year. Only 2% earn over $250,000. And millions are struggling in a recovering economy.

—Tell your story about how long it would take you to earn a million dollars—if you didn’t spend a single dime on necessary expenses.

—Steele’s comment is another clear sign that the Republican Party favors Wall Street over Main Street:
* The GOP has supported tax cuts for the rich while opposing the Recovery Act that has saved or created millions of jobs.

* While families are drowning in health care costs, they’ve opposed health reform.

* Republicans are lining up to oppose regulating Wall Street—even after greed and excess nearly brought down our economy—and they oppose getting our bailout money back from banks.

* Worst of all, the leading Republican on the House Budget Committee just proposed a budget that privatizes Social Security and shreds Medicare.
