The string of sound-bites and YouTube clips in the media and internet are making it clear: Americans want some kind of health care reform, but it ain't the ones coming out of Congress. The democratic party speaks about "Once in a lifetime opportunities," the likes of which haven't been seen in 45 years. The President's town hall meeting in New Hampshire gives the indication that everyone is for his vision. His skill in the use of rhetoric is unquestioned, but he never speaks any words of substance.
While decrying the very tactics his party uses to coerce compliance from banks and businesses, the President lies to you with a smile and his.."aw, this is what they always do" style of TelePrompTer reading. The reality is this... If any combination of the current three house bills and two senate bills is passed in compromise, it will mean reduced choice, reduced employment, and most definitely higher taxes. It leaves one with the question of what happens when the prescription for the problem kills the patient. Keep reading and studying what these members of Congress do... they are not there for you, they are there for themselves.
